Our colleague Muhamed has been part of Becky.works for over a year. Through his education and expertise, he has made a significant impact on our team and the quality of our work. He was happy to take the time to share his experience with us, giving you insight into his professional journey.

Dear Muhamed, could you please share with us your experience before joining Becky?

Besides other experiences in finance and accounting fields, my last experience before Becky was in a global IT and telecommunications company. During this time, I had the opportunity to work in an international environment, acquiring valuable knowledge and skills. I worked in the finance and accounting department, where I was responsible for managing daily operations. This role involved handling both accounting and finance tasks, which helped me become accustomed to a dynamic and varied work environment. Working in such a setting allowed me to grow professionally, deepen my understanding of business processes, and develop my skills further.

What, then, inspired you to join Becky.works?

What attracted me to Becky is the unique environment it offers for an accounting company. In the accounting field, it is essential to work across various industries to broaden knowledge and gain a deeper understanding of processes. The chance to collaborate with Dutch companies was especially appealing, as it allowed me to deepen my knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and business practices. Joining Becky felt like the perfect step for my professional development.

When did you start working with your current client, and what was your role at that time?

I began working with Alfa Accountants, now aaff (https://www.aaff.nl), in February 2024 as a Semi-Senior Accountant. I joined early in the company’s collaboration with aaff, which allowed me to contribute to the development of structure and processes alongside the Team Leader and the Dutch team. I was responsible for all operational tasks assigned to me, while also being involved in administrative duties such as creating procedures and assisting with the onboarding of new team members.

Can you tell us about your current position and responsibilities?

After a year with aaff, I was promoted to Second Team Leader in February 2025 as our team expanded to 20 members. My main responsibilities include organizing the team, ensuring smooth collaboration with the Operational Manager in the Netherlands, and providing the necessary tools and information for effective communication and high-quality work. Each day, I ensure that team members understand processes and complete their tasks efficiently. Additionally, I oversee onboarding and training for new employees as aaff continues to grow. While my role has evolved, I remain actively involved in operational and administrative tasks.

What do you find most exciting about your new role?

Organizing the team and ensuring that everything is delivered properly, while meeting all client requests, can be challenging, but I find it exciting. I enjoy these kinds of challenges as they help ensure smooth communication and satisfaction on both sides. Being involved in the development of structure and processes, as well as helping and coaching others, is something I truly enjoy. Seeing the results of hard work is incredibly rewarding to me.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

One of the best indicators of job satisfaction is looking forward to coming to the office each day, and that’s exactly how I feel working at Becky. The Becky team in Sarajevo, along with the Core Team, works hard to create a pleasant and positive working atmosphere for all of us. Additionally, Becky fosters a healthy work-life balance, which I truly appreciate. Here, every team member has the opportunity to grow, learn, and advance their career.
